Course content
FILM1104 is a base level course that deals with cinema and television in the Nordic countries. The course is taught in English, and the student gains insight into trends and developments in contemporary Nordic film and television culture.
Learning outcome
Knowledge
Upon successful completion of the course the student will have:
- knowledge of cultural, artistic and commercial traits in contemporary cinema and television in Norway and other Nordic countries.
Skills
Upon successful completion of the course the student will know how to:
- account for and discuss important trends and developments within the film and television culture of Norway and other Nordic countries.
- relate this knowledge to questions concerning culture, society and history.

Lectures, screenings and seminars.
Students are required to stay updated on any information given by the department or course director via Blackboard.

The final course assessment consists of a 4-hour written exam to be completed in either Norwegian or English.
