About the course

Course content

The course covers basic principles and skills in communication and instruction. Emphasis is placed on the importance of personal competence when interacting with individuals or groups, and on raising awareness of one’s own role in interactions with people in various situations and settings. In addition, the course addresses the development and history of the physiotherapy profession, as well as rules regarding confidentiality.

Learning through personal activity and movement is the focus and takes place through experiencing one's own body and by observing the bodies and movements of others. Practical training is a central form of learning. Observation practice provides insight into the work of physiotherapists, while the topic of health promotion and disease prevention is highlighted through practice in leading movement groups.
