This course is about ICT in learning. The aim is to make teachers able to use ICT tools in their own teaching.

The subjects are:

  • Introduction to ICT in learning.
  • Use of systems for learning
  • Create video (screencasts).
  • Collaborative writing online
  • Digital assessment.

All these topics are in a pedagogical context based on fundamental pedagogical theories.

Learning outcome

The candidate has achieved the following learning outcomes on KNOWLEDGE:

  • Reflect on how ICT can be used in courses
  • Reflect on how LMS can be used pedagogically

The candidate has achieved the following learning outcomes on APPLICATION

  • Produce videos for use in a pedagogical context.
  • Publish and share digital learning resources on the web with various access levels.
  • Make use of synchronous/asynchronous collaborative tools for collaborative writing, web conferences, discussion forums, sharing areas and social media.
  • Reflect on own teaching practices.

The candidate has achieved the following learning outcomes on GENERIC COMPETENCE:

  • Find, reflect upon and communicate success stories for use of ICT in learning.
  • Evaluate the quality of use of ICT in teaching.
  • Awareness on how use of ICT and new technology can lead to changes for learning, assessment and teaching.

Learning methods and activities

Online study. The students will work with videos and texts. The students shall participate in discussion forums, answer multiple choice tests, produce videos and more.

Further on evaluation

An individual assignment is given that must be answered in a video presentation. The video have to last approximately 5 minutes.

Exam available continously. Maximum 3 takes.
