Learning outcome

The student shall be able to use user centered methods and methods for iterative prototyping to develop and present information architecture for web and mobile. The students shall be able to account for different principles and traditions to establish user centered information categories and sort them, and design access structures and navigational devices and search strategies. The student shall be able to analyse existing structures based on principles of information retrieval and be able to suggest new information architecures to aid information retrieval. The student shall be aware of up-to-date principles and patterns for information architecture on different platforms and know methods to design good user experiences in accordance with strategic goals.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures and exercises. Plus a group project, with weekly supervision (formative-iterative evaluation). Sketches, the work process, and the end result must be documented.
