About the course

Course content

Design and prototyping for mobile and tablet is a practical design group project. The students do concept development based on knowledge about users in the target group and develop a high fidelity prototype using an iterative desgn process. The students get better aquinted with user centered methods as insight gathering, use of personas and scenario techniques as well as techniques for prototyping and design for mobile touch based devices.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures. Group project, with weekly supervision (formative-iterative evaluation). Sketches, the work process, and the end result must be documented.

Further on evaluation

Summative evaluation at the end of the course: Pass / fail.

The project is one of several which may be chosen to be part of the final portfolio of practical design projects for Bachelor in graphic design.
