Course content
The course provides insight into how one works with digital archives and records management in a institution, and which technologies that can be used to help ensure a comprehensive document capture in a fully digital workday. An introduction is given on how to contribute to both procurement processes and the development of new solutions, as well as how to safeguard information security.
The course provides basic insight into a selection of working methods, terms and digital technologies that can contribute to efficient records management and help fulfill important archival principles.
The course content has transfer value for work with digital documentation in varied institutions and businesses.

Knowledge
The student
- has knowledge about standards for record management
- understands the basic principles of systems and how archive filing systems works
- has basic knowledge of information security and an understanding of how to collaborate crosswise to safeguard this
- knows the basic operation of the internet and local networks
- can explain how graphics and multimedia are processed by the computer
- understands basic HTML and CSS and how web applications work
- knows about the most important technology trends affecting archiving and record management

Compulsory activities/assignments are assessed as approved/not approved, and must be approved in order for the student to take the exam.
Compulsory assignments must be approved in the term the course is taught. Students who have previously approved compulsory assignments in this course, must contact the teacher responsible for the course at the start of the term to get an assessment as to whether the compulsory assignment is still valid.
