Course content
This course consists of reading and assessing scientific literature pertaining primarily to pragmatic theory and/or analysis.
Learning outcome
The objective is to prepare students so that they are able to carry out the research work that goes into the writing of a Master's thesis on a pragmatic topic.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures and group instructions. More on assessment: Compulsory assignments must be approved before students are allowed to hand in the term paper. The size of the exercises must be between 4-6 typed A4-pages each (line spacing 1.5). Oral presentations may also be accepted as exercises. The size of the term paper depends partly on the subject, but is usually between 8-15 typed A4-pages (line spacing 1.5).
Compulsory assignments
- 2 approved exercises.
Recommended previous knowledge
Bachelor's degree with a specialisation/major in Linguistics, as well as LING3305.
