Compulsory assignments

Compulsory activity is assessed as approved or not approved and consists of the following three components.

  1. Approved practice in the primary health service (6 weeks)
  2. Approved written submission of two public health theses
  3. Approved completion of the general practice task. This includes both written submission and participation in group work.

Students with approved compulsory activity do not need to take this again in the event of a re-take of the exam

A maximum of 10% absence can be approved from practice. Absence between 11% and 20% that is documented with a medical certificate can be made up for with extended practice, upon application and agreement between the practice institution and NTNU. Absence of more than 20% means that the student must complete the entire practical training period again.

Compulsory activity is valid for four years from the first completion. If the exam in the course is not passed within this period, the compulsory assignments must be carried out again
