Course content

Therefore, central to this course is the attainment and application of knowledge and expertise on the importance of effective didactic facilitation, the development of children and adolescents as they grow into adulthood, and the professional and social opportunities and challenges children face not only in their schools, but in a society characterized by pluralism. Initial training will be given a great deal of importance. A great deal of importance will be placed on the connection between the field of practice as an academic discipline and as an arena for professional development. We will also place a great deal of importance on the writing process, as it is crucial to students' professionalism and competence as they navigate their way toward becoming professional teachers. Professional discussions and other professional interactions will be an important aspect of the course, and students will be expected to actively contribute to these activities.
