About the course
Course content
The course makes use of historical and practical approaches to explore secular and religious philosophy and ethics, and philosophical and ethics-didactical research and theory. Compulsory themes include ethics didactics, philosophical dialogue (P4C), judgement, and development of critical thinking within religions and secular world views. In the didactical aspect of the course, analytical ability and practical competence via the discussion of ethical and philosophical questions will be developed and practiced.
Learning methods and activities
The course is organised with regular weekly teaching. Excursions can take place outside regular teaching hours. The teaching methods alternate between lectures, work on assignments individually and in groups, discussions, as well as oral and written student presentations.

The following activities must be completed in order to take the exam:
Participation in philosophical dialogues. Written reflections related to philosophical dialogues. Oral presentations. Paper related to leading a philosophical dialogue. Detailed requirements and delivery deadlines will be announced at the start of the semester.
The assessment of these works will be graded either passed or not passed.
Exam:
Individual off campus exam, 7. days. Grading system, A-F.

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Primary and Lower Secondary Teacher Education for Years 5-10 (MGLU5-10) - some programmes
Recommended previous knowledge
The student should have completed 30 ECTS of CREE in module 2 (at the Masters level/during the fourth year of teacher education or similar courses.)
Required previous knowledge
Prerequisites: Passed KRLE 1 and KRLE 2, including the R&D assignment (a total 60 credits).
