Course content
Traditional building techniques and building processes, with main focus on wood construction.

Learning outcome
Knowledge about traditional building techniques based on wood materials.
Integrate traditional knowledge into current comstruction methods and building processes, aimed at both conservation, upgrading and new construction.
Ability to design constructive and aesthetic projects based on wood materials.

Lectures, project work, assignments
Up to 3 compulsory seminar days, either on campus or excursion.
The course requires use of private PC suitable for 3D-modelling. Free software.
In case of less than 6 students, the course may be arranged as a guided self study through a digital learning platform.

1 final, major exam assignment.
Up to 6 mandatory assignments must be approved to access final exam assessment.
There may be up to 6 compulsory seminar days. Compulsory seminar days will be specified at course startup.
Supplementary information about continuation: Off campus exam next time the course is running. Previously approved compulsory assignments can be approved by application.
