Learning outcome

Learning outcome - Knowledge:

Human nutrition:The fundamental feature in metabolism of food nutrients and the main digestion, absorption and further metabolic reactions of the energy-yielding nutrients.

The importance of the relationship between nutrition, food and human health, and factors which are implicated in developing diseases. 
The importance of fishmeal in human nutrition.

Learning outcome - Skills:
With knowledge of practical dietary guidlines for Norwegians the students can put the nutrient guidelines in to action and analyze their diets.

   

Learning outcome - Competence:

The students must have a general understanding of the energy-yielding nutrients structures in the food.

Learning methods and activities

Pedagogiske metoder:

Lectures, maximum 4 compulsory boarding calculations/exercises and a compulsory project assignment presented in class.    

Obligatoriske arbeidskrav:

Approved boarding calculations and project assignment are mandatory to admission to the examination. There is maximum 4 compulsory boarding calculations/exercises and a compulsory project assignment presented in class in the course.
