About the course
Course content
The course offers students an in-depth study of a limited stylistic area, composer, or genre connected to the student's principal instrument. The course includes learning essential repertoire and the evaluation of theoretical and analytical studies with respect to style and variations of interpretation. The course requires a significant degree of self-study.
The subject can be included as an elective in the bachelor's degree in performance music - classical or Masters in Music Performance. The department assigns elective subjects to students based on their prioritized preferences, as well as academic and resource considerations.

Learning methods and activities
Individual lectures and/or group lectures - 15 lessons in total. Tutoring on assignment writing - up to 7 hours.
If there is a need for accompaniment lessons, the student can apply to the department.
The instruction is mandatory and requires a minimum of 80% satisfactory participation.

Further on evaluation
The exam is divided into two equal parts. Written assignment: Scope: about 20 pages with 1.5 spacing, type size 12, and standard margins. Example notes and illustrations are in addition to this. The practical exam is a combined concert and concert lecture with a duration of 30-40 minutes, where the student verbally presents the content of the assignment and perform the selected repertoire.
In order for the course to be passed, both parts of the exam must be passed. If failed in one of the assessments, this particular part must be done over again.
