About the course
Course content
The course consists of conducting big band and ensembles connected to the principal instrument. The course includes conducting technique, score reading, as well as interpretation and performing.

The candidate has knowledge about and technical skills in leading different ensembles in different styles.
Learning methods and activities
Group tutoring- 2 hours per week during the academic year.
Instruction is obligatory and demands minimum 80% attendance.
Compulsory assignments
- Satisfactory participation in compulsory instruction
Further on evaluation
Practical exam includes rehearsing and performing of a jazz ensemble work with duration of 20-30 minutes. The task is given a week previous to the exam.
