Course content

Learning outcome

The candidate:
-shows artistic integrity and maturity.
-can handle challenges when their artistic intentions are realized.
-shows ambitions and clear individual profile in their choice of repertoire.
-can initiate and lead artistic projects from beginning to end.

Learning methods and activities

This subject is for the first and fourth semester. Forms of instruction and activities vary according to the theme and character of the chosen topic for the student's in-depth study. Each student/ensemble will be assigned an academic supervisor for the entire period of the study.

Further on evaluation

Concerts/projects: The student should play and record a Master's concert, or some other production during their exchange period. The recording will be part of the final examination (work).

Final exams is a concert at the end of the fourth semester.

Both parts of the exam (work and final concert) are individually graded before the student are given the final grade. Both parts need to be passed to get a passing grade. In the event of a retake, the student will only need to retake the exam part that was failed.

Specific conditions

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Music Performance (MMUSP)

Required previous knowledge

Requires admission to an international Jazz Master.
The applicants must write a plan for the study (one page), and the complete plan must be delivered before October 1st in the first semester.
