Course content

Same as NORD1106. Students are not expected to be able to express themselves in appropriate and correct Norwegian (bokmål or nynorsk) to the same extent as Norwegian students.
NORX-courses may not be included in a Norwegian university degree or qualify for admission to Teacher Education.

Learning outcome

Same as NORD1106.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures and groupwork.
The students attend the lectures and read the same curriculum as the students in NORD1106. The course is taught in Norwegian.

Compulsory assignments:
1 approved written assignment (approx. 1500 words).
There will be oral/written evaluation (passed/failed) of this assignment.

Approved obligatory assignment is valid for 2 semesters (the semester in which the approval is given and the following semester).

Exam: 4-hour written exam.
Students may bring an Old Norse Dictionary and an outline of Old Norse declination to the exam.

Specific conditions

Exam registration requires that class registration is approved in the same semester. Compulsory activities from previous semester may be approved by the department.
