Selected Topics in Petrophysics
About
About the course
Course content
The content in the course may vary depending on topics of interest among the participants and available lectures. In petrophysics and rock physics there are several topics which either are not covered in MSc courses or needs more in depth coverage.
Examples:
Petrophysics: NMR, advanced material. New logging tools. Integrated interpretation methods. Sedimentology from well data. The influence of wetting preferences on petrophysical measurements and interpretation.
Rock physics: Seismic attributes versus rock and fluid properties, and versus environmental conditions as temperature and pressure. Cuttings - analysis methods. Petrophysics of carbonates. Imaging methods and their information potential.
