About

About the course

Course content

This course is designed for master students, who want to learn how to write an ethnographic text. It is expected that the students enrolled have collected their own data material through either fieldwork or other methodological approaches, and want to explore ethnography as a writing skill and practice. Students will learn how ethnography differs from other forms of academic writing, and will in this course explore the relationships between theory and writing in ethnography, as well as issues of representation, literary style, and ethics in ethnographic writing. During the course students will produce texts, participate in writing groups and give feedback to each other’s texts.
