Course content
This course is a specialisation module in which the student selects a topic for in-depth study and development work related to the PE subject in their own workplace. This development work must build on advanced theoretical knowledge and the student's ability to critically apply research-based knowledge to address complex challenges. The course emphasises the student’s ability to initiate and contribute to innovation and development processes within the school’s professional community.

Knowledge
The student:
- has specialised and in-depth knowledge within the self-selected topic, based on a self-chosen and approved scientific reading list.
- has in-depth knowledge of how to critically interpret and apply relevant scientific literature to conduct targeted development work in PE.

The student:
- can independently plan, carry out, and lead a complex development project related to PE in their own workplace.
- can critically apply research-based knowledge to explore and address new areas of inquiry in PE.
- can document the development process and results in a systematic and research-informed manner.

The student:
- can initiate and document innovation and development work that supports research-informed PE practice.
- can analyse complex academic and ethical issues and actively contribute to the development of the school’s professional community.
- can communicate, present, and defend scientific and practical findings from their chosen specialisation area.

Mandatory activities:
The following documents must be prepared and approved to gain access to the exam, and together they form the digital portfolio:
- Project Outline: Submission of a detailed project plan describing the chosen topic, research question, methodology, and timeline.
- Self-selected Reading List: Submission of a self-chosen curriculum (scientific articles, books) for approval by the course coordinator.
- Documentation of the Development Work: Comprehensive documentation of the completed development project. This document must be confirmed as completed by the principal at the student’s workplace.
Assessment
Assessment type: Combined assessment (Portfolio and oral exam).
- Specialisation Portfolio (Digital Portfolio):The portfolio constitutes the documentation and analysis of the completed development work, based on the self-selected and approved reading list. The portfolio must be approved before the student can take the oral exam.
- Oral Exam:The student must present and defend the methodology, findings, and academic choices in the Specialisation Portfolio. Additional questions will be asked from the approved self-selected curriculum.

Required previous knowledge
Specific Conditions
Students must have completed SKOLE6715 Physical Education - Global Perspectives on Local Practices in order to register for the exam.
Participants must be employed as teachers or hold pedagogical responsibilities in a setting where the required PE practice can be carried out.
