About the course

Course content

This course explores the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in educational settings, focusing on practical, pedagogical, and professional-ethical considerations. Participants will gain knowledge of relevant AI tools for pedagogical and practical purposes and learn how to use these tools to support instructional design, learning processes and assessment practices. Particular emphasis is placed on the responsible, ethical and creative use of AI, and on the role of teachers in guiding students to develop critical thinking and digital judgement when engaging with AI-based technologies.

Through engagement with theoretical perspectives, practical examples and professional reflection tasks, participants will assess the opportunities and challenges associated with the use of AI in teaching and discuss its influence on student learning, teaching roles and school practices. The course promotes professional dialogue and development work concerning the use of AI in schools, focusing on pedagogical quality, inclusion, and the sustainable use of technology.
