Learning outcome

Knowledge:

- have knowledge of how effective value creation takes place internally in a company

- have knowledge of the connection between the company's strategy and production processes

- have knowledge of how technology and people should interact to create a competitive advantage

Skills:

- able to develop effective value creation strategies for companies

- able to analyze the company's internal and external processes and to find areas for improvement

- - able to lead the continuous improvement work that ensures the company's competitive advantages

General competence:

- have an understanding of the processes involved in a company, and the differences between goods and service production

- have an understanding of process limitations

- have an basic knowledge about Quality management

- have an understanding of the Lean paradigm

- have an understanding of the role of plans and forecasts for efficiency in production

- have an understanding of the complexity and diversity required to achieve competitive advantage

Learning methods and activities

Lectures, group work, online supported learning, compulsory assignment, problem solving, reflection, guidance, excursions.

Ålesund: online resources and some seminar days. The seminar may be held digitally.
