Course content
Students must choose a topic within the domain of strategy, organization and leadership.
Learning outcome
Knowledge
- The specialization thesis should be an independent piece of group work with the assistance of a supervisor. Through the work with the thesis students should demonstrate ability to acquire in-depth understanding and competence within their chosen area.
- Students should acquire knowledge and understanding of relevant theories and frameworks.
- Students should acquire knowledge and understanding of a range of choices for research design and analysis.
Skills
- Students should be able to formulate a research question and from this develop empirical data and analyze it with the use of relevant theory.
- Through the work with the thesis students should develop their methodological and analytical abilities, and be able to use this independently.
General competence
- Develop experience in planning and executing a long term research and development project.

Thesis to be submitted towards the end of April, the exact date will be submitted on Blackboard.
Students who do not submit within the published date will have to wait until the following year. In case of unavoidable circumstances (illness) students may apply for an extension until the 31st of August the same year.
The thesis is to be submitted in groups. Group sizes and information about project proposals and other practical information will be submitted on Blackboard. Applications for working alone must be submitted to the department and the application must be based on the description of course aims. If the application to write alone is granted, students will still be expected to meet the same requirements as a thesis submitted by a group. Available time from the supervisor will be less.

Required previous knowledge
The course MET3001 or equivalent must be passed
Course materials
Literature will be selected in dialogue with the supervisor relevant for the chosen project.
