About the course
Course content
The course is based around seminars in which the students will get practical training in analysis of qualitative data.
Learning outcome
Knowledge - the student shall:
- have insight into the principles of qualitative analysis.
- be familiar with the challenges associated with the use of qualitative analysis.
Skills - the student shall demonstrate the ability to:
- conduct a qualitative analysis of empirical material.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures and seminars, according to the lecture plan.
Presentation of term paper.
Compulsory assignments
- Compulsory exercises and participation in lectures
Further on evaluation
The term paper is written as a group assignment.
Recommended previous knowledge
SOS2900 and SOS3001 or equivalent.
Required previous knowledge
SOS1002 or the equivalent. The requirement must be fulfilled to be admitted to the course.
