About the course
Course content
Economic analysis of public transport; engineering interventions in the urban transport system to improve the speed of buses; environmental consequences of transport; regulation and other action in the transport system to protect the environment, decrease energy consumption, and counteract climate change. In addition, some topical themes from current transport policy and research will be dealt with.
Learning outcome
Offer deeper knowledge about important methods and transport problems of current interest.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures, group work, seminars, and exercises. The lectures and exercises are in English when non-Norwegian speaking students follow the subject. Written examination might be changed to oral examination in case of re-sit.

The following courses will be helpful: TBA4291 Transport Analysis, TBA4286 Traffic Engineering and ITS, TBA4315 Economics of Transport Infrastructure, and TBA4320 Traffic Safety and Risk Evaluation.
