About the course

Course content

The project topic may be of a reviewing or research type, or connected to a specific building or project in the design or construction phase. A short course in research methods is included as a part of the project work. Project topics may be within refurbishment and modernization of buildings, cultural heritage management, real estate and facilities management, real estate or property development, central and local government administrat of real estate, user focus and user satisfaction, space management and efficiency, adaptability and flexibility, service level agreement or combination of these The project work may be conducted individually or through student groups and shall result in a project report. The project work can possible be a preliminary study to the Master thesis.

Learning outcome

Students will complete a project work within the field.

Knowledge:
Use scientific methods in the implementation of an independent work in the field.

Skills:
Students will be able to prepare a project plan with milestones, reporting partial results and write a project report in accordance with established standards.

General competence:
Documented scientific qualifications through completion of a project report in the field.

Learning methods and activities

The project work is performed as an independent work under supervision. Mandatory participation in the course Research Methos held at the beginning of the semester.
