About

Lessons are not given in the academic year 2023/2024

Course content

This course is based on TBBY1017 Introduction to carpentry and is related to TBBY1019 Specialization in carpentry.

Traditional practice constitutes a significant part of the basic education in the bachelor's course in traditional building crafts where learning takes place through one's own practical work. Through participation and training under supervision at a learning arena, the student will acquire broad and versatile insight into practical work within traditional building crafts.

The course includes project-based work with supervision. The learning arena in collaboration with NTNU is working out a project plan as a framework for the practice at the learning arena. The project plan should have one or more carpentry projects as a significant part, but other types of construction work can also be included as it suits the learning arena and the students.
