The Bachelor's thesis is carried out within the course's subject areas and according to the bachelor's manual. Identify, formulate and solve relevant problems in the civil engineer's field of work. Utilize knowledge and skills from several subject areas in the study, as well as make independent study where necessary. Contribute to research and develop the subject area. Acquire skills in project management in planning, implementation and documentation of a project work in a group.
Knowledge: - The candidate must be able to identify, formulate and solve a relevant problem. - Use knowledge and skills from several subject areas in the study program. - The candidate must have an in-depth knowledge of a chosen problem within the subject area. - The candidate must have knowledge of the management and documentation of projects. as well as make independent research where necessary - acquire skills in project management when carrying out and documenting a project work - able to find, evaluate and refer to information and subject matter and produce this so that it highlights a problem General competence: - The candidate must be able to identify, formulate and solve relevant problems in the construction engineer's field of work, and thus work well as an engineer in the workplace. - The candidate can convey knowledge within his field of study to different audiences both in writing and verbally
Learning methods and activities
The working form is as described in the bachelor's manual and is an independent student-driven project work.

Further on evaluation
If the bachelor's thesis is considered not passed or grade F, the student (s) must submit a new answer. Improvement / rework is not sufficient. The task can present the same subject area with the same empirical / data base. A bachelor's thesis that is considered passed can not be submitted for review, even in a revised form.
Compulsory activities from previous semester may be approved by the department.
