Course content
Specialization in a theme within Norwegian Sign Langauage and/or interpreting that the students select themselves.
Learning outcome
Candidates
- can delineate a theme and define a problem
- have basic knowledge of some relevant research methods
- have detailed knowledge within a defined field of study (the theme of the thesis)
- can find and evaluate relevant information and subject material and present it so that it illuminates a theme
- can present and discuss theoretical knowledge and practical experiences connected to a delineated problem within a theme
- can plan and conduct a project lasting over time in cooperation with others and in accordance with ethical demands and guidelines
- can present the subject matter in an academic text and refer correctly to academic sources used
Learning methods and activities
Lectures, group work, examinations of source material, field work and supervision from teacher.
Compulsory assignments:
1. Written disposition of the academic text. 2. Annotated bibliography. 3. Draft version of the academic text. 4. Compulsory attendance for supervision three times.
Approved obligatory assignments are valid for 2 semesters (the semester in which the approval is given, plus the following semester). All obligatory assignments must be completed in the same semester.

Individual bachelor thesis delivered in the digital examination system. All examination aids allowed.

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Norwegian Sign Language (LTTEGN)
Required previous knowledge
Completed the second year of the BA-program in Norwegian Sign Language specialization interpreting or specialization Norwegian Sign Language.
Requires admission to the BA-program in Norwegian Sign Language.
