About the course

Course content

This course gives an introduction to search and evaluation of technology based ideas suitable for commercialization. Further, the course gives a basic introduction to market research.

Learning outcome

Give the student the capability to evaluate the commercialzation potential i technology based business ideas.

The portfolio contains 5 feasibility studies and 1 reflection assignment. The subject also has 3 mandatory written exercises that must be approved.

  • The written exercises are carried out in groups during the course weeks.
  • It is mandatory to complete 5 feasibility studies, but it is possible to complete an extra one at the end of the semester. The feasibility studies (often referred to as 'syretest') count for 60% of the final grade. The feasibility studies are carried out in groups.
  • The reflection assignment is written individually and counts for 40% of the final grade.

The student’s progress is measured between each exercise, where the assessment criteria in the subject are based on the student’s ability to show development based on feedback on previous submissions.
