Course content

The seminar is held as agreed, in the autumn and spring terms. Selected topics at advanced level will be covered.

Learning outcome

Knowledge: The seminar will introduce the student to a selected advanced area within engineering cybernetics, and provide the student with the knowledge required to do research in that area. The course contents can vary significantly depending on the student's profile and research area.

Skills: The students will acquire skills needed to perform research in a selected area, and acquire skills in communication and presentation.

Competence: The students will be able to participate in research and scientific discussions at a high level within a selected area, and be able to learn new topics within their research area and related areas.

Learning methods and activities

Individual literature study, lectures, group discussions and discussions with instructor, as appropriate for the individual syllabus.

Further on evaluation

Oral exam based on a presentation by the student followed by questions and discussions with the examiners.

Specific conditions

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Engineering Cybernetics (PHTK)

Required previous knowledge

The student must be admitted, or qualified for admission, to the PhD programme in Engineering Cybernetics.
