Course content
Curves in space. Functions of several variables. Extreme values in several variables. The method of Lagrange multipliers. Double and triple integrals, line integrals, and surface integrals. Vector calculus. The theorems of Green, Stokes, and Gauss. Examples, exercises, midterm and exam problems adapted to the relevant program of study.
Learning outcome
The purpose is to give students an introduction to concepts and methods in the theory of functions of several variables and their applications.

Lectures and compulsory exercises. Retake of examination may be given as an oral examination.
