About the course
Course content
The course is assembled from two modules of 3.75 study points each, alltogether 7.5 study points. Each student should consult with the supervisor of the project work and select two modules from this list: TMM1 Product modeling, TMM2 Product simulation, TMM3 Life cycle assessment of products, TMM4 Analysis of metal forming processes, TMM12 Smart machines, TMM15 FEM simulation of metal forming, and TMM16 Casting technology. At least one of the modules must be from the list above. As module no. 2 may the student in agreement with his adviser select among modules of size 3.75 study points from the other specialization in the department (TMM4516).
Learning outcome
The course gives deeper understanding in key subjects related to the student's project work.
Learning methods and activities
The modules are given as seminars and guided self-study courses, including exercises. Teached in English when non-Scandinavians are present. If there is a re-sit examination, it may be changed from written to oral.

Subjects are selected based on the student's previous knowledge.
