Ocean research
As a paramount objective the course should make the student able to consider metocean conditions relevant for the voyage.
Learning outcome
Be able to interpret different type of weather charts and predict weather conditions
Apply different types of statistical data in ship routing
Use weather- and ice-charts for optimal and safe routing of ships
Have general knowledge of metocean processes
Learning methods and activities
Lectures, exercises, and laboratory work.
