Learning outcome

The course shall give knowledge about:
- Simple electrical circuits and electrical components.
- Analog signal processing with operational amplifiers.
- Basic digital technology and digital signals.
- Architecture, programming and interfaces for microcontrollers.

The course shall develop skills in:
- Solve for current and voltage in simple electical circuits.
- Design simple circuits for operational amplifiers.
- Progamming of microcontrollers.

The course shall give general competence in:
- Development of mechatronic systems.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures, exercises and laboratory tasks, both individual and group tasks. The lectures and exercises are in English when students who do not speak Norwegian take the course. If the teaching is given in English the Examination papers will be given in English only. Students are free to choose Norwegian or English for written assessments. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral.

Compulsory assignments

  • Theory and lab exercises
