About the course
Course content
The student shall select two Specialization Courses each 3.75 stp. Our department has the following Specialization Courses: Production Management, ICT in management prod./log; Production Management, Production Management classic/modern quality philosophy; RAMS Maintenance Management, RAMS risk and safety; Computational Intelligence and advanced robotics; Optimization of manufacturing processes. Students from the master program in subsea technology may spesialize in risk analysis. This topic has the same content as TPK 5160 Risk analysis (7,5 points), and the students must therefore follow the lectures in this course. The final examination form is oral exam.
Learning outcome
The course shall give a deeper understanding within production and quality engineering. The student will receive fundamental knowledge how to run modern production plants. The in-depth study will be related to: Production systems, Production management and RAMS.
Learning methods and activities
The education methods will be: Lectures, colloquiums/seminars, exercises, laboratory work, excursions, and self-tuition. The lectures and exercises are in English when students who do not speak Norwegian take the course.
Recommended previous knowledge
The following courses are required: TPK4105 Manufacturing Technology, TPK4115 Project Planning and Control, TPK4120 Safety and Reliability Analysis. Any deviations must be clarified with the department.
