Course content
The course integrates vocational breadth and depth and professional subjects, with emphasis on vocational breadth and depth in the different fields of study. Industry/business knowledge based on the learning tradition of vocational training and the distinctive character of the various professions is emphasized. The professional subject includes supervision, communication and assessment in an integrated context based on vocational education and training. Various aspects of ethical and sustainable production and development are included in the course. Digital competence based on the different fields of study will be included in the course.

- has knowledge of the breadth of vocational and vocational training within their field of study and the distinctive character of the various professions
- has broad knowledge of working methods, processes, tools and digital tools relevant to their vocational subject area
- has knowledge of supervision and other forms of learning, work and assessment in vocational education and training
- has knowledge of communication on the premises of the vocational subject

Learning methods and activities
The course includes teaching, excursions and other learning activities at gatherings, and digital learning activities between the sessions. There are mandatory work requirements in the course and self-work and group work are scheduled between the sessions. Guidance is offered in connection with and between the gatherings.

80% compulsory attendance at the gatherings and predefined learning activities between the sessions.

The assignments are assessed as approved/not approved. All coursework requirements must be approved in order to take the exam.

Individual written home exam (14 days).
The exam is assessed individually according to grading scale A-F, where the grades A-E are passed and the grade F is fail.

Required previous knowledge
Requires admission to the vocational teacher education - bachelor's programme.
Must have passed the courses from the first year of study to start this course.
Must have passed practice from the first year of study to take the exam in this course.
