About Geology

Geology is the study of the Earth - its composition, structure and development - from its formation some 4.6 billion years ago up the present day.

In this programme of study, you will learn about minerals, rocks, fossils and sediments. This programme of study is suited for you who want to learn more about how the forces of nature works, why the landscape is shaped the way it is, and how we can utilize the Earth's resources in a sustainable way.

You can choose one of the following main profiles:

  • Arctic Geology
  • Environmental and Geotechnology
  • Bedrock and Resource Geology
  • Geometallurgy
