About the programme
Organisation, Digitalisation, Administration and Work is an interdisciplinary master’s degree programme which goes into depth on the role o social sciences in both the public and private sectors.
The programme gives the candidate an interdisciplinary understanding of the interaction between digital technologies, public and private sector organisations within a social science perspective. This forms the basis for knowledge about digitisation and societal change, with a particular focus on changes in working life and the development of the Norwegian welfare state.
The programme provides the candidate with analytical skills to study complex organisations and technologies based on social science theories and methods.
The programme also provides an important understanding of communication, economics and technology in an organisational context in that the candidate has had the opportunity to supplement with electives in various subject areas at NTNU. Through interdisciplinary perspectives and a critical thinking, the candidate will be able to contribute to the knowledge of how digitisation and organisational changes affect work and professional performance.
Admission
Language of instruction: Norwegian
Admission to the master’s degree in Organisation, Digitalisation, Administration and Work has the following requirements:
- A bachelor's degree of 180 ECTS credits with a specialization in social sciences of at least 80 ECTS credits, or a bachelor's degree in economics and administration of 180 ECTS credits, or equivalent
- Courses in social science research methods of at least 7,5 ECTS credits. Both quantitative and qualitative methods are required.
- Bachelor’s thesis of at least 7,5 ECTS credits or equivalent.
You have to meet the Norwegian language requirements, or have a Scandinavian language as your mother tongue, if you want to apply to any of NTNU’s degree programmes taught in Norwegian.
