About Master in Mechanical Engineering

Either you want to design prostheses, smart packaging, jet engines, wind turbines, robots or electric planes. Whether you want to learn about space travel, sustainable products, efficient production, electrical energy or transportation. Whether you want to work with people, with machines, in the laboratory, or a combination of everything. If you take a Master in Mechanical Engineering you can have your cake and eat it too, as well as create technology that shapes the future. 

As a student on Master in Mechanical Engineering you learn to develop new machine and energy technology. Among other things, you get to solve various challenges with computer simulations, develop new methods and process large data sets from laboratory and field observations. 

You can choose one of the following main profiles:

Language of instruction: Norwegian

You have to meet the Norwegian language requirements, or have a Scandinavian language as your mother tongue, if you want to apply to any of NTNU’s degree programmes taught in Norwegian.

The application deadline for the programme is April 15th. Students apply through Samordna Opptak.
