Norwegian Centre for Sustainable Business Models

The Norwegian Centre for Sustainable Business Models (NCSB) is initiated to ensure collaboration for sustainbility in the intersection between business, industry, research environments and education. The target of NCSB is to contribute with knowledge and research on topics related to business models for sustainability.

As of today, NCSB is still organized through a working group on Sustainable Business Models. The group is formed to coordinate academic efforts to secure high value creation in business and industry without compromising the safeguarding of planetary boundaries. To increase the connectivity with other Norwegian actors, the group has initiated the Norwegian Centre for Sustainable Business Models. The group consists of experts from a wide range of disciplines: Industrial ecology, process engineering, innovation and entrepreneurship, materials, social sciences, geography, sustainable business models as well as industrial economics and technology management. Our activities focus on visible pilot projects in cooperation with and support of municipal and industry partners.

The Sustainable Business Models group contributes to all four Thematic Strategic Areas at NTNU: Energy, Sustainability, Health and Oceans.
