Micro- and nanotechnology brings together many fields of research. TNNN helps researchers connect across those fields and build a community beyond their own institution.

As a national research school, we bring PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, supervisors and industry professionals together. Our aim is to strengthen research training and make it easier to exchange knowledge and experience.

What we do

Our activities include an annual conference, transferable-skills workshops and opportunities to engage with industry. Through financial support and coordination, we work to improve access to relevant PhD courses and support career development, innovation and entrepreneurship.

TNNN conferences give researchers opportunities to discuss their work, learn from others and explore how their expertise can be used in different settings.

How we are organised

TNNN is guided by a Steering Committee, a PhD Council and an Advisory Board. Together, they contribute to the direction and development of the research school.
