Research

My research interests primarily concerns writing in teacher education, in the disciplines and across the disciplines. I am interested in both the students and the instructors’ perspectives on, understandings of, and approaches to various forms of writing in teacher education. My doctoral project explored the literacy practices of an interdisciplinary group of teacher educators in their work with student writing, within as well as outside their classrooms.

I’m the head of the interdisciplinary research group «Studenters skriving» (Students’ writing) at Department of Teacher Education, NTNU. The group focuses primarily on students’ writing as well as the different processes leading up to those textual products. We focus on academic writing in teacher education in general, and writing in the disciplines in particular.
