Education:
Bachelor and Master in Graphic Conservation from the Royal Danish Academy, Copenhagen.
As a paper conservator, I work with condition assessments, documentation, repairs of damaged materials from our special collections, and preparation/follow-up of loaned material from our collections to external exhibitions. I also help prepare exhibitions here at the Gunnerus Library.
A large part of the job as a paper conservator is preventive conservation. I then work with climate control and monitor insect activity in magazines and places where work is done with our collections at the Gunnerus Library and the Dora Library. In addition I also repackage to acid-free packaging, and in other ways work to extend the life of our various collections.
When necessary, I assess and treat mold-damaged, dirty and insect damaged material which is donated to us or in other ways enter our collections.
Get in touch if you have any questions about mold or insect damage on books, sor storing and proper handling of old books and photos. I do not take on private conservation assignments, but I am available with advice and assessment of damages.
