Background and activities
Waseem Hassan is a PhD candidate at NTNU, Norway in the Dept. of Engg. Cybernetics. He is working in the area of fisheries & aquaculture. His main research focus is design of energy efficient acoustic fish telemetry tags/systems. He started his PhD in Dec 2016.
Before joining NTNU as a researcher, Waseem did his masters in embedded systems (2014-2016). He was awarded EU's prestigious Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for masters stduies in EMECS program. As part of the Erasmus Program, he spent his fisrt year of masters studies in NTNU, Norway and second year in TU Kaiserslautern, Germany. His major subjects were embedded systems design and hardware design. He did his bachelors from PNEC-NUST, Pakistan in Electronincs Engineering (2008-2012). His bachelors majors were control system, electric circuits and communication systems.
Waseem also have industrial work experience. He worked as Instrumentation and Control (I & C) engineer in a fertilizer complex (2012-2014).
Masters Thesis: Design & comparison of hardware system architectures for robots inverse kinematics on FPGA.
Bachelors Thesis: Design & fabrication of a slef balancing personal vehicle (SUBUKRAFTAR).
