PhD in Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering

The PhD-program in Hydraulic and environmental engineering is normed to 180 ECTS points (3 years). The final content of the study will have to be decided in cooperation beteen the candidate, the supervisor and the department depending on the area of research and the priorities of the candidate.

  • Snow hydrology and ice problems in rivers
  • Environmental impact and river regulation and control
  • Hydraulic conditions in rivers
  • Hydraulic conditions in hydropower plants

Water and wastewater engineering

  • Storm water technology
  • Pipe technology
  • Urban systems analysis
  • Corrosion control
  • Environmental hygiene
  • Drinking water treatment
  • Wastewater treatment
  • Sludge handling
