One Hour with Europe
«One Hour with Europe», is an initiative managed by the NTNU Brussels office in collaboration with the colleagues of the Rectorate Staff
The initiative aims to keep interested colleagues up to date on what is happening in Brussels, and about the latest novelties on Funding Programmes on a monthly basis by means of interactive meetings. The events highlights the future opportunities that the various Brussels initiatives hold for Norwegian researchers.
The initiative hosts relevant key players from the European Commission, relevant R&I stakeholders and colleagues from NTNU.

OHWE Monday 30 October: Advanced Materials for Industrial Leadership: Vision, Approaches and Expected Impacts
A new appointment of our One Hour with Europe webinar series, this time on “Advanced Materials for Industrial Leadership: Vision, Approaches and Expected Impacts” took place Monday 30 October 2023. In her state of the union speech, President Von der Leyen indicated advanced materials for industrial leadership as one of the European Commission priorities’ of 2024, and the European Commission is currently working on a related plan of action.
In this OHWE appointment, Jürgen Tiedje, Head of Unit Industrial Transformation at DG Research and Innovation, European Commission, provided a presentation about the status of preparation of the Action Plan, followed by a Q&A with the webinar participants.
