Campus Unification Unit

Campus Unification Unit

In the coming years, several of NTNU’s academic communities in Trondheim will move from scattered locations to one unified campus in the area surrounding Gløshaugen.

The main mission of the Campus Unification Unit is to ensure that the campus becomes a strategic tool for realising NTNU’s academic ambitions. The physical campus environment should provide better conditions for internationally outstanding education, research, art, innovation, and dissemination. This will be achieved by creating meaningful meeting places, future-oriented spaces for work and learning, and by developing the campus as a platform for continuous development—a living laboratory.

On this page, you can view a selection of illustrations from the projects. The projects are at various stages of development—some images show possible concepts and alternatives, while others reflect more advanced phases and final designs. Illustrations and visuals will be updated as the projects progress.

The largest development projects are NTNU Unified Campus, the Center for Mental Health, Helgasetr, and the Norwegian Ocean Technology Centre.
