CV

I am an Associate Professor in Computer Science at the Department of ICT and Natural Science, and the head of the Sustainable Digital Transformation (SDT) R&D Lab. I received my PhD in Agent-based modeling from the University of Bergen (UiB), and a master’s degree in computer science from NTNU in Gjøvik.

My current research is centered on developing and applying advanced technologies across various domains. Key areas include the design and simulation of digital twins, focusing on their architecture, implementation, and graphical representations. I am also deeply involved in complex system simulation and visualization techniques, addressing challenges related to stability, control, and interactive environments. Additionally, my work explores the creation of virtual worlds, incorporating 3D environments, virtual reality, computer graphics, and computer vision while advancing human-computer interaction (HCI). My research further extends into artificial intelligence, with a particular interest in deep learning, swarm intelligence, optimization methods, and evolutionary algorithms.
