About
My interests and work have largely focused on developing experimental methods and experimental design related both to applied research on hydropower turbines and to more fundamental research on phenomena involving hydraulic damping, fluid–structure interaction, and turbulence. In recent years, I have worked extensively on issues related to environmental considerations and challenges in hydropower, including topics such as supersaturated water and fish guidance at power-plant intakes.
