Background and activities
I completed my graduation in the field of Materials Engineering with specialization in polymeric composite from Katholieke Universitiet Leuven. After graduation, I was working as a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Early Stage Researcher for ICONIC ITN in collaboration with Bombardier Aerospace at University of Patras. I was trained in multiscale modeling of impact and sustainable design of a new generation of highly efficient, light weight composite as crash resistant structures in transporation.
The principal goal of my work at NTNU is on the lifetime prediction and structural degradation of polymeric composite under the aegis of SFI Manufacturing http://www.sfimanufacturing.no/ The work consists of both experimental aging and analysis of composite structures, followed by development of simplified formulations to represent degradation in properties of FRP.
